We all have special Christmas memories when we were younger that we never forget. In going through all the photos (memories) I found this old gem that I took back in December of 2014 of my mom reading "T'was the Night Before Christmas" to my two nephews.
When I took this photo I had intentions at some point to paint this vivid memory. I had recently taken an artist workshop up in the upstate of NC and was taught some valuable lessons in how to transfer a photo to the canvas/panel. I took the principals I learned and suggested rather than rendered. Though it isn't an exact copy of the photo, the meaning is all the same. Cherish the memories you have because they will never last forever.
