Nellie has been in our family for over 3 years now and she is still as spunky now as she was when she was a puppy. In composing a painting that captures Nellie’s personality has always been a challenge for me. She never stays still long enough for me to take one.
Then on evening, she gave me this look and as luck would have it, I was ready. Bam!
One thing about Nellie is that she has been unable to grow a full schnauzer beard. It has always been wirey and knotted. However, her eyes glow with love when she is around you. So had to include this as my inspiration to paint Nellie because she has always tilted her head when you speak to her or ask if she wants to go outside.
She is just a ball of love. And of course she had to sign it herself!
