Underneath the River Birches

Underneath the River Birches; 5 x 7 in., Acrylic on Canvas

Learn more about this Original Painting @ ABOUT: ‘Underneath the River Birches’ was painted from a photo that I took on a run in one of my favorite parks. This pathway is a great place to run, or walk and take in the beauty of the forest. This pathway is tucked underneath a mile long tunnel of river birch trees. The sun peeks through and casts it light on the pathway. DIMENSIONS: 5 x 7 in. MATERIALS: Painted in professional acrylic paints on a cotton canvas, stretched on a wooden stretcher frame, canvas has been gessoed with three coats to maintain cotton integrity, paint was mixed with my own personal concentration of oil mediums to give paint strength and adds to protection for years to come. Painting comes unframed, but size is standard so will be affordable. (C) Burge Mountain Artworks, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

There is a park that is in a town north of us from where we live when I tend to go for my run or any outdoor activities. Fletcher park has beautiful pathways through untouched forest which guides you along the river. This is one of my favorite places to go for a run or walk. This pathway is tucked underneath a mile long tunnel of river birch trees which makes the trail inviting. It is especially beautiful to see the rays of light dance on the path.

This painting was completed from a photo I took while on one of these runs. I hope to paint on location at some point when the weather permits. My goal would be to work on my speed while also being able to capture the exact moment in time.
